SUMMARY:
This article would amend the Zoning Bylaw to require provision of workforce housing for moderate income households in multi-family housing in Village Overlay Districts. The purpose of this article is to provide greater flexibility to require income restricted housing at different income thresholds based on the Area Median Income. This article is submitted separately from the above Article 1 because of the state’s compliance guidelines.
ARTICLE: To see if the Town will vote to add inclusionary housing requirements to add a new section in 7.5 of the Zoning Bylaw; or act in any other manner in relation thereto.
DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this article is to require workforce housing units for moderate income individuals within multi-family housing developments approved in the new Section 7.5 Overlay District.
