SUMMARY:

The Planning Board will follow up and recap the Housing Workshop they hosted on October 25. At the workshop participants were introduced to the new law requiring town's adopt zoning to permit multi-family housing and asked to help map areas that could potentially be zoned to support housing.

Public comments are welcome and encouraged. The Board welcomes ideas on areas that could support more housing and input from anyone after the workshop that has further ideas and/or was not able to attend.

The presentation from October 25, the resident created maps, and comment sheets from the workshop are attached. The Board will further explore locations to be in this new zoning district.

Additionally, staff will update the Board on updated guidelines from the state updated to allow more workforce dwelling units in additional to affordable units.


SUGGESTED MOTION: No formal action needed but Board members should continue discussion on areas that could be considered to support higher density housing.
